Project Feature: 7,000 Sq. Ft. Co-working Space – Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad

Uniworks Designs was selected to design and deliver a 7,000 sq. ft. co-working space in Hyderabad’s tech-driven hub—Hi-Tech City. The client, a growing business co-working brand, envisioned a youthful, high-energy workspace that would attract freelancers, startups, and small teams looking for vibrant, community-led environments.

Design Objective

The brief called for a playful, color-rich space—a departure from traditional corporate monotony. It had to spark creativity, encourage networking, and support flexible working styles, all within a well-structured spatial plan.

Design Language

We designed the interiors using a palette of bold primary colors, geometric patterns, and funky textures—bringing energy and movement into the space. Each zone had a distinct personality, yet the overall environment felt cohesive and purpose-driven.

Key Elements:

• Open hot-desk zones with color-blocked flooring and custom murals

• Breakout pods and beanbag zones for casual collaboration

• Private meeting rooms with writable walls and playful wall art

• Pantry and café corner styled like an urban hangout

• Ceiling play with suspended shapes, lighting tubes, and exposed textures for an industrial vibe

Challenges We Tackled

1. Color Balance Without Visual Fatigue
   Using vibrant colors without overwhelming users was a careful exercise in contrast and zoning. We balanced bright focal points with neutral flooring, wood accents, and acoustic panels in muted tones.

2. Maximizing Utility in Shared Spaces
   Every zone needed to serve dual functions. Lounge areas doubled as ideation corners; café seating was optimized for plug-and-play work setups. We used modular furniture and movable partitions to keep the space agile.

3. Client Expectation vs Execution Timeline
   With constant client design inputs during execution, we had to remain agile. Our site team adapted by using phased approvals and quick prototyping on-site to maintain progress without compromising design.

Outcome

The completed space is a buzzing, collaborative co-working environment that reflects the spirit of modern entrepreneurship. The interiors encourage movement, creativity, and social interaction while supporting productivity through well-defined work areas.

Client Impact

Post-launch, the co-working space saw a high occupancy rate within the first 60 days, with several members citing the interiors as a key reason for choosing the space. It has also hosted community events and startup pitch sessions, reinforcing its brand identity as a vibrant innovation hub.
