Project Story: Designing a 10,000 Sq. Ft. Gaming Studio at Dallas Center, Hyderabad

When Uniworks Designs took on the challenge of crafting an office for a leading gaming company in Dallas Center, Hyderabad, we knew this wasn’t just another corporate workspace. It needed to be immersive, youthful, and tech-forward—mirroring the spirit of the gaming industry itself.

The Vision

The client envisioned a high-energy, collaborative environment where creativity thrives and innovation flows seamlessly. The space had to break away from conventional design norms and instead feel like an extension of the virtual worlds the team builds every day.

Design Philosophy

We approached the design with three key pillars:
Immersion, Flexibility, and Functionality.

The spatial theme leaned into futuristic aesthetics—featuring ambient lighting, digital art walls, floating ceiling panels, and graphic storytelling elements. Key zones included:

• A vibrant gaming lounge with arcade-inspired elements

• Soundproof developer bays and testing pods

• Brainstorming zones with writable walls and mood lighting

• A dark-themed boardroom with custom RGB lighting

• Cafeteria designed like a gaming café, doubling as an informal work zone

Challenges We Navigated

1. Technical Coordination
   Sound insulation and specialized lighting were critical. Integrating acoustic panels, vibration-proof flooring, and glare-free lighting—without compromising aesthetics—was a design and execution puzzle solved through close coordination with AV consultants and vendors.

2. Ceiling Height Restrictions
   With low slab-to-slab height in parts of the space, routing MEP services while maintaining a premium aesthetic was a challenge. We resorted to exposed ceiling designs, using it as a canvas for mood lighting and digital-themed visual layers.

3. Budget Optimization
   The initial design estimate overshot the ₹1.7 Cr ceiling. Through strategic material engineering, modular furniture tweaks, and vendor re-negotiation, we brought the final cost within ₹1.5 Cr—without sacrificing design intent.

4. Dynamic Client Inputs
   As a creative team, the client frequently requested in-progress design tweaks. Our agile approach allowed phased design freezes—so that execution could begin while finalizing creative details in parallel.

Timelines & Execution

Despite several change requests and site-level integration issues, we delivered the project in 14 weeks, managing over 20 vendors simultaneously with minimal downtime.

Impact & Outcome

The finished space became a magnet for creativity. The gaming firm reported a 25% jump in developer satisfaction, faster onboarding of new talent, and improved content creation cycles. Investors and international partners have consistently complimented the space as a benchmark for gaming workspaces in India.
